We specialize in image creation that gently entices the viewer to enter the scene of their own volition to fill the space rather than becoming overwhelmed by an overabundance of visuals that tangles the viewer mentally.

Established in 2012, LACUNA is helmed by Luis and Emily Chavez, a dynamic duo who strive to provide the best products and customer service the media creation industry has to offer in the Southern California and Manhattan marketplace.

Educated at Cal Poly Pomona in civil engineering and graphic design, Luis focused on photography early on and combined his love for architecture, design and all things beautiful. This focus turned into his pursuit of understanding high-end camera dynamics and producing breathtaking imagery that captures the mind of the client. 

 

With an eclectic mix of academic and professional experience in aviation, accounting, creative writing and public education, Emily's diverse background breathes adventure, tenacity and reliability to consistently provide clients the level of excellent service that she herself would be happy with.

LACUNA has experience working with print and online publications, properties and people in the California areas of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Ventura, and Claremont photographing multi-million dollar residences, historical homes, property owned by the Hollywood elite, celebrities, community officials, local business owners, brides, news, events, and ceremonies.
